Controversies in Trauma Surgery

The Expert Forum – Controversies in trauma surgery – is a unique opportunity for participants to discuss their clinical problems and experiences with an expert international faculty. The course will employ a new educational format based around specially selected clinical cases in defined clinical areas. Participants will discuss these cases in moderated small discussion groups and be asked to present their own conclusions. The session will end with a lecture on the state of the art in treatment of these fractures by the session moderator. The clinical areas to be covered are Proximal femoral fractures, Distal femoral fractures, Distal radial fractures, Delayed and non union and periprosthetic fractures. Different treatment modalities will be discussed. The course is suitable for surgeons with some experience of treating these injuries who are willing to share their problems with an international faculty in a friendly, supportive environment. Application has been made to the EACCME for CME accreditation of this course.
